Jazz Pharmaceuticals making serious moves

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a major global pharmaceutical company, is making a serious move into the cannabis industry proposing to buy GW Pharmaceuticals for $7.2 Billion, a premium price of about 50% over GW’s closing price on Tuesday.

Jazz, which has its corporate headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, and an office in Philadelphia, had a market value of $8.7 billion as of the close of trading Tuesday.
